- Currently the employee has the option of two PPO plans through NC State Health Plan
- 70/30 plan is available at no cost to the employee
- 80/20 plan is available to the employee with a monthly premium of $22.76 (beginning 7/1/12)
- Family and dependent coverage is available at an extra charge
- Dental Insurance - small copay for employees; dependent coverage available at low cost

Leave
- Sick Leave - Earned at a rate of one day per month
- Personal Leave
- Annual Vacation Leave - 1.17 to 2.17 days per month based on years of experience
Other
- Payroll deduction NCAE and PENC
- Current school system employees and one guest are admitted free to athletic events at any school in our system. At schools where the employee works, the employee and his/her immediate family (spouse and children) will be admitted free. Family members must be in the company of the employee to be eligible for free admission.
- Retired school system employees are admitted free to athletic events. The pass admits the retired employee only and is not good for conference championships or play off games.
