2017-18 Stokes County Schools Principal of the Year

Stokes County Schools is pleased to announce our 2017-2018 District Principal of the year Mr. Nathan Rasey. Mr. Rasey is the Principal of North Stokes High School.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from Piedmont Bible College in Winston-Salem. He received his Master's in Education in Health and Human Performance from UNC-Greensboro. Mr. Rasey earned his Master's in School Administration from Appalachian State University.

He was appointed Principal of North Stokes High School in 2009. Under his leadership, North Stokes has consistently maintained one of the highest graduation rates in North Carolina, as well as the highest in the district at 95 percent. This year's Class of 2017 earned 1.7 M in scholarships. The school has also earned state titles in athletics including track and field and baseball. Last year, the school was named a Signature School by the Piedmont Triad Education Consortium.

He will go on to compete in the Wells Fargo regional competition in February.

Mr. Rasey resides in King and is married to Lisa Rasey who is a Reading teacher. They have 2 daughters, Madison and Meredith.
