State Report Card Welcome Letter November 2018

State Report Card Welcome Letter November 2019

I want to share with you how honored I am to be the Superintendent of Stokes County Schools. I come to Stokes County from Asheboro City Schools in Randolph County, North Carolina where I served as an assistant principal, Director of Support Services and Assistant Superintendent for the past fourteen years. I look forward to the opportunity to work closely with the faculty and staff of each of our schools so that we can deliver the best education possible for our students. I bring a strong belief in the positive role of public education in the lives our students. I respect the Board of Education and their focus on students. I am honored to serve with the faculty and staff. I am committed to the safety and academic excellence of each student, while serving all stakeholders of Stokes County Schools.

I would like to invite families and community members to be a part of our schools and the success of our students. Our community is only made stronger by the active participation of our stakeholders in school activities, volunteerism, beautification efforts, and fund raising. Stokes County Schools has an outstanding team of educators who care deeply about the success and well-being of our students. Please reach out to your child's teacher or principal this year, be engaged and be informed about the progress of your child. The exciting work of education requires collaboration, communication, and supportive relationships.

I am dedicated to listening to members of the Stokes County Schools community. Please know that my door will always be open as we build relationships and continue to establish a trusting and caring environment in each of our schools.
