State Improvement Grants
Stokes County Schools Special Programs Department is both an NCSIP (North Carolina State Improvement Project) Math SIP Site and Reading SIP Site. Through the annual grant verification and award process, the department receives additional funding to enhance our reading and math instructional programs in our special education classrooms. Funding is utilized to build the capacity of Math and Reading Foundations trainers in our district, provide professional development to both general educators and special educators who instruct students with disabilities, and build the math and reading program resources in our special education classrooms.
