Hello Sauras, this is Principal Chris Bottoms with your Saura Weekly Update. This week we welcome back our students and begin the second semester. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's break. On Monday, students will report to home room at 8:30am to receive their schedule for second semester. If your child has problems with their schedule, they need to meet with their counselor during the period of the class they need corrected. This week we will be retesting students that were not proficient on the End of Course test for English 2. It takes the state several days to score this test, so students that choose to take the retest to improve their final exam grade will receive an incomplete for the course until the score is reported, and then the grade will be changed to the student's final grade. Please reach out to me if you have any questions about the English 2 retest and your child's grade. This week's Saura Shout Out goes to Makayla Boles. Makayla recently finished her Nursing Fundamentals class and has led the efforts of organizing a Blood Drive sponsored by the Red Cross on 1/14/26, 1:30-6:00 at Palmyra Methodist Church . Thank you Makayla, for your kindness and leadership. This week in Saura Sports, on Tuesday basketball hosts South Davidson, and on Wednesday wrestling hosts Bishop McGuinness and Parkland High Schools. On Friday basketball hosts Chatham Central. On Saturday the Indoor Track team will be competing at JDL. Thank you for your support of South Stokes High School, and as always, GO SAURAS
