Stokes County Schools will be holding the annual Federal Programs Stakeholder
Meeting in preparation for creating and submitting the grant application for the 2021-2022 school year. The stakeholder meetings will be in a virtual format.
Stokes County Schools is committed to offering the highest quality education for our students while maintaining a clean and safe environment during these unprecedented times. These were the steps taken to ensure a safe and positive re-launch. Please complete SURVEY at the end of this document.
The new start and end times allows us to:
• have shorter bus routes,
• provide many of our drivers to have more hours (more pay and benefits),
• use fewer buses,
• be more efficient (saving local tax payer dollars and attract and retain drivers).
In partnership with the Stokes County Health Department, Stokes County Schools would like to see how many parents are interested in having their children receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Please fill out the attached survey.
The Board of Education approved the following Principal recommendations effective July 1, 2021:

Matthew Richardson, Mount Olive Elementary
Dr. Samuel Jones, West Stokes High
The Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program helps families purchase food for children whose access to free or reduced-priced meals at school has been impacted by COVID-19 because students are learning virtually, outside of brick-and-mortar schools. P-EBT is a collaboration between the NC Department of Health and Human Services and the NC Department of Public Instruction.
