Today, February 15, is National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day!

We want to take a moment to recognize the sworn law enforcement officers who serve in our schools. Being an SRO is a unique role that bridges the gap between law enforcement and education. They aren't just here to keep our buildings safe—they are mentors, guest lecturers, and trusted adults for our students.

What an incredible day of competition and school pride! Students from our elementary and middle schools came together to showcase their spelling skills in this year’s Stokes County Schools Spelling Bee.

The competition was fierce and exciting, lasting an impressive thirteen rounds! Our students demonstrated focus, determination, and outstanding academic talent throughout the event.

❤️ More Than Just a Ride: Celebrating Love the Bus Month! 🚌

February is traditionally the month of love, but at Stokes County Schools, we are sharing that love with the big yellow buses and the amazing people who drive them!

It is officially Love the Bus Month, and we want to take a moment to recognize the unsung heroes of our education system: our bus drivers, transportation monitors, and mechanics.

Every morning, they are the first smile our students see, and every afternoon, they ensure our "precious cargo" gets home safely. Through early mornings, traffic, rain, or shine, they are a constant, reliable presence in our children's lives.

To our transportation team: Thank you for your patience, your dedication, and your commitment to safety. We appreciate you! 💛
